How Big are Moose?

Hi, It's been a while, but I'm back after a long break to start talking about moose again. Today, I wanted to discuss the real size of moose and how huge the elegant creatures really are. 

Many people seem to think the moose are medium sized creates, nearly the size of the average cattle. This is very wrong!! The Average moose is about 6 feet tall(1.83 meters) and range from 8 - 10 feet long (2.44 - 3.05 meters). Most adult moose are actually bigger than the average car(See comparison below). 

Moose being giant creatures also means they weigh a-lot. A grown adult moose can weight up to 1,500 lbs(680.39 Kg) and grown females weigh up to 1,100 lbs(498.95Kg). Thats about 1 and a half grand pianos!!

All of this means that moose are giant and sometimes hostile creatures. We need to make sure to respect moose and not disturb them to protect both our safety and the human population. 

                        - Warning: never approach a moose, they are extremely dangerous and sometimes aggressive creatures.
